A fully weather-sealed standard zoom lens for the Fujifilm X-mount, the Fujifilm Fujinon XF 16-55mm f/2.8 R LM WR pairs especially well with the also weather-sealed Fujifilm X-T1.

It offers a focal length range of 24-82.5mm in 35mm equivalent terms, with a constant aperture of f/2.8 right the way through the range.

It comprises 17 elements in 12 groups, and is capable of functioning in low temperatures and dusty conditions. Three of its elements are aspherical in order to greatly reduce pincushion and barrel distortion, and Nano-Gi (Gradient Index) coating has been applied to control flare and ghosting.

When paired with X-series bodies the lens is capable of automatically focusing at lightning-speed – a minimum focusing time of just 0.06 seconds using the Twin Linear Motor focusing system.

Certain X-series bodies also allow the lens to make use of Lens Modulation Optimiser technology, which corrects for diffraction to create edge-to-edge image sharpness.

Nine rounded diaphragm blades allow for the creation of pleasing bokeh and use of shallow depth of field techniques, such as commonly used in shooting portraits.
