The Galaxy Camera 2 (pictured above) will enable users to navigate functions ‘with ease and focus on capturing the perfect shot rather than having to filter through complex settings’, according to Samsung.

The Galaxy Camera 2, which features an Android operating system, includes an upgraded 1.6GHz Quadcore processor.

Samsung’s first Galaxy Camera was launched in 2012.

The 16.3MP camera, which boasts a longer battery life, will go on show at the Consumer Electronics Show in the US next week.

A ‘Tag & Go’ feature is designed to connect the camera to NFC-enabled smartphones and other mobile devices, for image sharing.

Samsung has also unwrapped a new system camera in the shape of the NX30 (pictured below), featuring an APS-C size 20.3MP CMOS imaging sensor.

The Wi-Fi and NFC-enabled NX30 incorporates the Samsung NX AF System II – claimed to produce ‘fast and accurate’ AF, alongside a more powerful imaging processor, plus a tiltable (2,359K-dot) EVF.

ISO sensitivity ranges from ISO 100-25,600, adds Samsung.

Also new is a 16-50mm f/2-2.8 S ED OIS lens – billed as Samsung’s first ‘premium’ S-series lens, incorporating an ‘Ultra-Precise Stepping Motor’.

UK prices and availability have yet to be announced.
