The Professional Practice Weekend Workshop will take place on 3-4 October (9.30am-6pm) at the Magnum Print Room in London.

Magnum says its workshop will focus on ‘demystifying’ the photography industry, help participants develop contacts, understand the requirements of the market and identify realistic job opportunities.

Areas covered will include image licensing, publishing photographic books and organising exhibitions.

The second day will focus on portfolio reviews, giving photographers an ‘honest and constructive critique of their work’.

Speakers will include Hamish Crooks, director of Global Licensing at Magnum Photos.

The workshop costs £200, including lunch.

The deadline for applications is 25 September.
