Fujifilm has confirmed that its much publicised FinePix X100 digital camera will go on sale in the UK next month, priced £999. The firm has also released the X100’s full specification (see below).
First unveiled at last year’s Photokina show in Germany, the 12.3-million-pixel FinePix X100 carries an APS-C-size CMOS imaging sensor and a 23mm f/2 lens, designed to deliver the equivalent of a 35mm lens on a 35mm camera.
Features include a Hybrid Viewfinder which combines an electronic viewfinder with the ‘bright frame’-type optical viewfinder found in rangefinder film cameras.
Optional accessories will include two TTL flash units, the EF-20 and EF-42m, which take their names from their respective guide numbers.
